I am so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. My condolences to Robert and to her family. Janet taught me how to "walk" when she led the Hart Agency. I became one of the "Hart girls", a runway model in Boston's 1980's fashion heyday. Her beautiful alabaster skin, chunky bold jewelry, and classic chignon her signature style, she transcended trends. Janet was a wonderful teacher and advocate for fashion in Boston. She will be missed. xo Liz Vago

Janet waws a member of our family for many years. She came to Maine often and Barb was so much fun to be around. She adopted little Pearl from our mom and gave her such a wonderful home. She watched our children grow up and our mom and dad pass away. She spoke at our mom's funeral jumping in to fill the space until the Priest showed up, he forgot the time. We will miss her especially her sense of humor. She was family to us. Our sympathies go out to her real family.

I grew up with Janet and Robert. They were my mother, Catherine Hinds', BEST friends! Janet had a sense of humor and intelligence that will be sorely missed. We all spent time together in Framingham, North Conway and Grenell Island cooking, dancing , entertaining and laughing. She and my mother were the original "Girl Bosses". They worked hard and played hard. I learned so much from Janet about life and how to do it with joy. I know she and Catherine and all their dogs and friends are together again! RIP Aunty xo
