James D. “Jamie” MacKay, 74, of Brockton passed away Saturday September 24, 2022.

Educated in Culinary Arts, Jamie was a gourmet chef starting his career at the Four Seasons. His opportunities varied in life, from owning his own store in Marina Bay, being the Assistant Harbor Master for Quincy and as a farmer who grew his own fruits, vegetables, plants and raised livestock. He was an excellent carpenter who made beautiful furniture.

Jamie loved his family, friends, and dogs. He volunteered for Homeland Security for 20 years, played Santa for over 20 years for his loving family and friends, only adopted shelter dogs and always wanted to help people with his experiences. His wife Candy would always say, “He makes my life full!”

Beloved husband of Candace A. (Baird). Loving father of Adam J. MacKay and his fiancé Leighann Smith of Clayton, NC and Stepfather of Kim Driscoll of Myrtle Beach, SC. Grandfather of Adam and his wife Emily, Madison, Kylie, Jamison, Quinn and Brogan and great grandfather of Logan and Joseph.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service, Monday October 3rd at 1:30 PM at Milton Cemetery, 211 Centre Street. Please join us at the main gate.
