Immanuel Adrian Brooks was born on November 22, 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts to beloved parents Laresa Smith and Adrian Brooks.

Manny, as he was affectionately known, was a serious but funny baby. Upon first impressions one would easily think he was all business but when he cracked a smile and laughed, hearts wold melt all over the room.

As a toddler, he loved the camera and was constantly taking selfies and recording himself making faces on any phone he could get his little hands on.

Immanuel grew into a fun, loving and sometimes goofy young man. He attended the Trotter Elementary School before moving on to the Jeremiah E. Burke School where he was currently an 8th grade student.

Although a bit reserved, once he was comfortable, Manny's likable personality helped make him as popular in school as he was in the community. He spent a lot of time hanging out with his friends, but had a very close, unbreakable bond with his siblings. He enjoyed making Tik Tok's with his sisters Arriyanna & Maliah, listening to music-especially King Von, and as of late, had shown interest in going to the studio with his older brother, Christian, to rap. Manny had an outgoing personality and was a great athlete who loved basketball, wrestling and recently had expressed to his mom that he wanted to join a football team.

Tragically, Manny's life was cut short on January 4, 2024 and he was greeted at Heaven's gate by his great grandmother Martha Prout.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his parents Laresa Smith & Adrian Brooks, Siblings: Kiara, Christian, Antonio, Arriyanna, Maliah, Noah, Noel and Nalani; Grandparents Beverly Smith, Harold Prout, Milagros “Millie” Plaza, and Michael Brooks (Toni Brooks); as well as a slew of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
