Just got word of "090" death. I worked with Horace for several years at Department of Revenue. He was always so funny and caring! His yearly Caribbean festival parties at his home was always so much fun! May you rest in peace Goathead ! lol Your friend, Harry Luke Jr.

Dear Joycelyn, please accept my deepest condolences. It was my good fortune to work with Horace and a privilege to make his friendship. He is remembered most fondly when on occasion, several mutual friends from our days together at the Department of Revenue gather and reminisce of those many years, made more enjoyable by his presence. Rest in peace Horace. May the angels lead your way home. Joe Senier

We are all so grateful that Uncle Horace and Auntie Joycelyn made it up to Canada for Peachfest. We have fond memories of our Goodminton games in the back yard, the concerts and fun at the house. Much love to all the family. Cynthia & the Helm's

We extend our deepest condolences to the surviving family members of Mr. Horace Hurley. As next-door neighbors and friends, since 1995, we would hear the joy and laughter that would, spontaneously and contagiously, burst forth from inside their kitchen (particularly during weekends). Just hearing Horace's heartfelt laughter and Joyce's response, made everyone's day a little bit better, whether included in the conversation or not. Horace was and will always be remembered as a praying man, a learned man, a man of unquestioned integrity and sincerity. He loved and appreciated his family. He, truly, loved the Lord. Horace will be sorely missed and times spent with him always will be fondly recalled. Rest well, dear friend. Chuck & Mona Dickerson

It was always a joy to be in the company of Mr. Hurley. There were times where he would extend a conversation and others when he would just take it all in. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to cross paths with him. He will be missed down here, but I am glad he has risen.
