Obituary for Giuseppina (LaVita) Cimildoro

Giuseppina (LaVita) Cimildoro, 86 of Milton, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late Faustino (Frank) Cimildoro with whom she celebrated sixty-three years of marriage. She was predeceased by their son, Frank Cimildoro.

Giuseppina was born in Mirabella-Eclano Italy, on August 20, 1937. She was the loving daughter of Maria (Imbriano) and Elmerindo LaVita. She is survived by her brother Michele LaVita. She was predeased by her siblings, her sister Angiolina and her husband Remo Pizzicannella, her brother, Luigi LaVita his surviving spouse Kathy, her sister Luigina (Gina) Scalcione her surviving spouse John, and former sister-in law, the late Carol LaVita.

Giuseppina met Faustino at Park Street Train Station in the spring of 1956. They later married in October 1957. In the early years of their marriage, they resided in East Boston where they welcomed their son, Frank. Faustino and Giuseppina settled in Milton in 1967 and later built their own home, which was their pride and joy. Giuseppina worked at Piccarielloโ€™s in East Boston then later she worked in the kitchen of Curry College for eight years. Giuseppina worked hard at keeping everyone in line and made sure everyone was taken care of while working the shute for L&C Paving Co. Giuseppina had a passion for cooking, canning tomatoes and going to the casino. Giuseppina and Faustino planted roots in Naples, Florida where they enjoyed many seasons with friends and family.

Giuseppina was also known as "Noni" and is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judith (Hall) Cimildoro, and four grandchildren, Julie (Patrick) Feeney of Attleboro; Joseph Cimildoro and fiancรฉ, Lauren Gentile, and Jacquelyn Cimildoro, all of Milton; and Steven (Stephanie) Cimildoro of Bellingham. Giuseppina was a proud great-grandmother to Francesca Juliet Feeney and was looking forward to welcoming the newest additions to our family. The Cimildoro-twins due this summer and Giavanna Gentile. Giuseppina was a spirited woman who had strong family values and a large heart. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she cherished dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, Saint Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Road, Monday March 4, 2024, at 11:30 AM. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Dolan Funeral Home 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and parents in the family mausoleum at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.

    So sad to hear of Josie's passing. Her and Frank were a big part of our family and we will never forget the Christmas Eve Celebrations at their home on Canton Ave. No one ran the shute like Josie for the L&C team. All five foot of her !! So many wonderful memories over the years with the Cimildoro family. RIP sweet Josie๐Ÿ™
