Gerard Danger , 76, of Kingston Massachusetts, formerly of Dorchester Lower Mills passed peacefully on Sunday evening July 26th at his home in Kingston where he resided for twenty years with his longtime partner Maryann Sanders. He was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti on October 31st, 1949, the son of the late Antenor & Saintalia Danger. He moved to the United States residing first in Brooklyn New York before first moving to Dorchester Lower Mills and finally to the peace and quiet of Kingston Massachusetts. He proudly became a citizen of the United States on September 2nd, 2014.

He spent his career working at State Street & Shawmut banks before State Street’s mutual funds operations separated to become the transfer agent known as Boston Financial Data Services in Quincy. He worked for over twenty-five years there, first in the Control department processing mutual funds accounting transactions for five large volume clients and then in Corporate Actions (Information Services Analyst) administering special fund transactions and custom reports. Shortly after moving to the peace and quiet of the town of Kingston he retired.

Over the years he had personal hobbies of tinkering and maintaining his own and friends motor vehicles. He was the Head Chef at home and made the best rice & beans, and fried plantons. Due to his gifted skill set in construction and engineering he and his partner worked together to completely renovate their Dorchester home. For recreation he and Maryann enjoyed vacations with close personal friends and family along the east coast, Cape Cod and cruises in the Caribbean. They also collaborated on getting Maryann’s first book written and published this last year.

After receiving a transplant over ten years ago Gerard transformed his life and pursued his Christian faith, active prayer life and his personal relationship with his savior readying himself to enter into the eternal kingdom of Heaven and hear “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

He is survived by his children: Stephanie, Cynthia and Valery of Boston. He leaves also leaves his precious granddaughter Emorie. He is also survived by his two brothers Jean and Michael along with his sister Claudie and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, on Thursday, August 6, at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation at Dolan Funeral Home prior to the Mass, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, from 9 - 10:30 A.M. Interment will be private.
