Obituary for George Eugene Rouse, Jr.

George Eugene Rouse, Jr., 81, passed away on November 4, 2025.

Born and raised in Boston to the late George E. Rouse, Sr. and Ellen T. (Aylward) Staples, George was a long-time resident of the Wrentham Developmental Center and the Walter E. Fernald State School. Known for his happy and pleasant demeanor, he touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness and joy. George worked as an assembler, where he was appreciated for his positive energy he brought to those around him.

Beloved brother of Daniel Staples of Onset, and the late Lynne-Ellen Staples. George will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE. A Catholic Prayer Service to follow. Interment New Calvary Cemetery.

    George has been a welcomed part of the Wrentham Developmental Center Community since he moved here in 2014. He brought much joy to those who knew him and helped care for him and he will be missed. Our many thanks to George's family for sharing his life with us, and our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and care givers on his passing.
