Obituary for Frances V. Hurley

Frances V. Hurley, 89, of Quincy, passed away April 6, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (McLaughlin) Clark. Originally from Dorchester, Frances worked as a waitress and hostess for many years. She also worked for St. Mary’s Rectory of Quincy and was a Eucharistic Minister. She loved taking care of kids, the lottery, scratch tickets, dancing and Barry Manilow.

Beloved mother of Pauline Hurley (Stephen Williams) of Quincy and the late Marie Elaina Hurley of Quincy. Loving grandmother of Megan Wright and her husband Tim Wright of Whitman, Katie DeMoore-Gonzalez and her husband Tyler of Maine. Great grandmother to Jocelyn and Brady Koch of Whitman. Sister of Pauline Clark of Hyannis and Richard Clark and his wife Mary of Milton. She is also survived by her son-in-law Thomas Dormady.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s Church, 115 Crescent Street, W. Quincy, Tuesday April 15 at 11:30 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE, Monday April 14th from 4-8 PM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, In Memory of Frances V. Hurley.

    So sad to think that Nana Fran has gone home. A remarkable woman who took great care of my daughters. She would do anything for you. Her faith was so strong and I know that Maria will be there to greet her. I will miss her but I have great memories of her. God bless you Fran. Thank you for always making life easier for us.     I am so sad at the loss of this wonderful woman. She was a true friend who became family. Greg and I have wonderful memories of our trips to Las Vegas, Disney World watching the Squantum 4th of July parade on the seawall and so many more.
