Obituary for Florine Bloom

Florine Bloom, 88, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. Born on September 4, 1937, in Jackson, Georgia, Florine devoted her 88 remarkable years to caring for others and spreading kindness wherever she went.

Florine built a lifelong career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, serving over 50 years in the medical field. Her gentle spirit, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her patients left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Known for her caring heart, Flo never hesitated to offer a listening ear, wise advice, or an encouraging word.

She was a longtime member of Concord Baptist Church and, though often busy caring for her family and late husband, Johnnie H. Bloom Sr., her faith and devotion to others remained steadfast. Florine cherished time spent with loved ones—especially her children—and found great joy in cooking, shopping, traveling, and making lasting memories with her family, whether at home in Boston or visiting Georgia..

Florine is survived by her daughter, Michelle Bloom Cepoudy and Sidonet Cepoudy of Boston and her sons, Johnnie H. Bloom Jr. of Boston and Donald D. Bloom and Carrie Bloom of Leominster, Mass and numerous nieces and nephews also extended family in Georgia.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hour 10 - 11 am. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery.

The family extends heartfelt thanks for the love and support shown during this difficult time. May God Bless you.
