Esther, this world is a darker, worse place without you in it. I know you can't see this, but I'm hoping from heaven, maybe you can. Any room you happened to be in was automatically brightened by your smile, soul, and contagious spirit. Being able to spend time with you and getting to know you 3 of my 4 years at Centre was a blessing in every sense of the word. Word cannot do justice to the pain and grief of this news, despite my best efforts. You made so many people's life better, even if we fell out of touch for the most part, after school. You still come to mind regularly, and always fondly. I remember, more than once, you being the voice in the room who (knowingly or unknowingly) helped me not make a few unintentionally bad decisions, and I don't think I ever got to thank you for that. I've not stopped crying since I heard the news, and I'm sure neither have your family, friends, or anyone who has the fortune of knowing you, because you made THAT much of an impact on anyone who came across your path. To Esther's family (and other close loves ones): again, words fail. I cannot imagine the level of pain and grief you're going through after something that should never have to be reality. Please know you're being lifted up in prayer from here in Ashland, KY. Prayers for peace, comfort, the ability to dwell on the countless happy memories amidst such an unexpected tragedy. And not that you don't already know this: but to Esther's parents, you raised such a wonderful daughter–truly one of the best people I've ever had the blessing of meeting.
