Milton - Eleanor H. McKinnon (Hannigan), born September 14,1926 died July 24, 2023.

Daughter of the late John M. Hannigan and Alice G. Hannigan, predeceased by her brother John R. Hannigan and her sister Virginia C. Hannigan. She is survived by her three sons Alan L. McKinnon, Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Marblehead, MA, Brian J. McKinnon, MD of Hitchcock, TX, and Ian M. McKinnon and his wife Lise of Little Compton, RI. as well as her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A lifelong resident of Milton, MA, Eleanor attended Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, MA and Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. Upon graduation Eleanor taught briefly at the Tucker School in Milton, MA before moving on to the New England Telephone & Telegraph.

She married Alan L. McKinnon in 1955 and shortly thereafter they started their family having three sons.

Eleanor is a past President of the Milton Woman’s Club - Evening Division, Past President of the The Milton Garden Club, a Federated Flower Judge, a member of The Ace of Clubs, A Dame in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. A past member of the Neighborhood Club of Quincy, and a 50+ year member of The Milton - Hoosic Club.

The Family would like to thank the team at Celtic Angels and the team of nurses that supported our efforts to enable Eleanor to remain at home.

Calling hours will be at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Ave. Milton, MA on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at St. Mary of the Hills, 29 Saint Marys Road Milton, MA.
