I unfortunately never met Ned. But I've had the opportunity and pleasure to know his son Andrew. Ned you must have been a wonderful person to have raised such a caring and loving son Andrew. God bless you!

I met Ned years ago when he afforded me the opportunity to coach a baseball team in Milton Babe Ruth for which I will be forever grateful - it gave me many summers filled with many of my most cherished memories. Countless young men and some young women owe a debt of gratitude to Ned for working tirelessly for many years to provide them the joy of learning and playing baseball in a safe and fun environment. He taught me to always focus on making sure that the focus was on the experience of these teenagers, that they would learn the game , and most especially, they would learn to love it. I stayed in touch with Ned after our baseball exploits and he remained a good friend - most of all, I will remember him as a true gentleman. Say hi to Joannie for me.

Ned got me more "involved" in the nitty-gritty of H.O.M.E. Inc., which is where Ned and I became good friends. Always a man of his word, Ned was my "go-to guy" whenever I needed advice or support, when I replaced him as President. I could always count on Ned to be on any committee, where I needed him. Though we had different perspectives on some issues, we bonded fully on the matters that we both felt were most important. I will miss Ned greatly, on a personal level and share in the grief and loss that his family is going through. His friendship will always be felt as a blessing.

Our condolences to Ned's family and friends. Ned has been a very welcome addition to our family gatherings over the last few years. He was such a kind man, frequently offering to help in the kitchen, suggesting back strengthening exercises for me, or providing encouraging support during my husband's recent heart surgery. I used to tease him by saying he had at least nine lives. We wish he had one more. The Duplin and English families will miss Ned very much. RIP Ned. ๐Ÿ™ Joyce and Paul English

I wish to send my condolences to Ned's family. I had the privilege of meeting Ned a little over three years, when my Dear friend Elizabeth Duplin brought him through the tunnel to meet all her family and friends. Ned and Elizabeth had a friendship one wishes they could find in their late 60's to 70's. They spent quality time together doing what good friends do, have fun and appreciate life. They were constantly checking up on each other to make sure all was fine. Even the daily 8:30am wellness check. When Elizabeth got the call at midnight, she took a Uber to the hospital to assure him that the boys were on their way. She shared the moment with the boys when Ned took his last breath. Ned knew he wouldn't be alone because he has his Friend Elizabeth RIP Ned, your were one in a million.
