Obituary for Dorothy "Dottie" Jean Delaney

DELANEY – Dorothy “Dottie” Jean (Rose), age 91 of Milton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Dottie was truly a talented and creative person in many ways; in particular an accomplished oil-based painter and avid flower gardener.

Beloved daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Sequera) Rose. Caring wife of the late Peter J. Delaney. Loving mother of Brian M. Delaney of North Quincy and David S. Delaney of Milton.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 10th at Milton Cemetery, 211 Centre Street, MILTON at 11:00 am. (Gathering at the main entrance prior to the graveside.)

    My Loving Aunt Dottie and I shared a lifetime of amazing and loving memories! She was amazingly beautiful, talented and creative! Every fourth of July and Christmas Eve she opened her home to my family and friends. We all looked forward to enjoying her beautifully decorated home and her homemade desserts and her homemade root beer! Everything she did was to perfection! She loved gardening, crafting, baking and painting! Her greatest joys in her life were her boys and her cats. She was more than an aunt to me. My heart is broken, but full of love and beautiful memories ! REST IN PEACE ! Love from "Your Lanie"
