Obituary for Doris T. Brock

Doris T. (Ingersoll) Brock died, Friday, May 23, 2025. She was 83 years old, a resident of Milton and OFD. Doris was born in Boston to the late Francis and Estelle Ingersoll and was the last survivor of six siblings.

Doris was an amazing cook and kept a pristine home. She worked at Carney Hospital as a nurse’s assistant. She also worked with children at a local day care and as a secretary for a local real estate firm. First and foremost, she tended to every need for her husband and children. Doris maintained her backyard pool for the neighborhood to use with admittance being a quarter or a cherry pie.

Doris was married to the love of her life, Jarvis “Dean” Brock for 65 years until his death in March of 2024, and is forever missed.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Theresa Brock (Paul) of New Hampshire, Doris Jackson (Bill) of Rockland, David Brock of Boston and Daniel Brock (Margaret) of Avon and the late James Brock. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert (Tracey), George, Lauren, Kellie, Veronica, and John, her great-grandchildren Thomas and Estelle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 30, 2025, in St. Gregory Church, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester at 11 o’clock. Visiting Hour in the Church 10 – 11 am. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.

The Brock family would like to thank the South Shore Visiting Nurses’ “Dream Team” and her housekeeper, Annie, for all the love, care and support they provided throughout the year.
