Diana C. (Buccelli) Reilly, 72, of Quincy, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family.
She was the devoted wife of James M. Reilly with whom she shared over 51 years of marriage prior to his passing in June of 2020. Born in Somerville on December 7, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Ryan) Buccelli. Devoted mother of Colleen Dolan of Quincy, Shannon Reilly of Quincy, Ann Marie Johnston and her husband David of Quincy, Kelly Lewis and her husband John of Milton and James Reilly and his wife Annemarie of Quincy. She was the “Best Nana Ever” to her ten grandchildren, Kayla and Jessica Dolan, Joseph, William and Thomas Lewis, Sophia and Gabrielle Johnston and James, Maggie and Noah Reilly. She was the loving sister of Phillip Buccelli, Dominic Buccelli, James Gallagher, Joan Dearden, Judy Manzo, Collette Farrell, Bruce Buccelli, Mark Buccelli, LeeAnn Brainard, Gina Buccelli, and the late Louie Buccelli, Elizabeth DeFelix, Donald Buccelli and Diane Gallagher. Diana also loved her large extended family. Her friends were also loved like family.
Diana was raised in Allston and was a graduate of Brighton High School (1968). Diana worked at the Bernazzani School in Quincy; her colleagues knew her as a kind soul with a warm smile. Diana was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, NANA, and friend. She was dedicated to her family who meant more to her than anything. She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She was a wonderful cook and was most happy in the kitchen cooking and baking with her grandchildren. She was so proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them. They brought so much joy into her life. Even on vacation, Diana spent her time cooking and baking for family and friends. There are many wonderful memories of Diana, she was so loved. Her presence in our lives will truly be missed.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, October 26th from 4-8 PM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 27th, prior to the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Saint Mary Church, 115 Crescent Street, Quincy, at 10:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
