My friendship with David spans more than 50 years. I met him when I was a first year teacher at Weymouth's Central Junior High School in 1973 and over the years we developed a friendship that endured even after his retiring and moving 3000 miles away. I visited him and Denis many, many times in both Alameda and Palm Springs and am so grateful for, and taking much comfort from, all my wonderful memories of delightful and dahling Dalaris!

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. We both taught math at East Junior High. He was a great teacher and a fun loving guy! We kept in touch by FB after he moved to California. He is one of those people I will always remember fondly!

So saddened to hear of the passing of this "so alive" colleague. David was one of the "good ones". EVERYONE who was lucky to come into contact w/ David liked him - loved him if they were fortunate to develop a long-term friendship w/ him. He enriched all of our lives, & brought a chuckle w/ his personality to boot. The earth is a lesser place w/ him gone. Pat Ford, Weymouth colleague

When I think of my years teaching in Weymouth, I always think of David. He brought fun and excitement and laughter wherever he went. I remember the parties at the Officer's Club, cookouts during the summer, visits to his apartment in Boston and our trip to Montreal with the honor society which my husband and I chaperoned along with Kathy Lavery. It was during this trip that I fully appreciated how wonderful David was with his students. He was loved by them and respected as well even as we all had such a fun time! I'm so glad that we never lost touch and although I will be away the week of his service, I will be thinking of him with love, laughter and a smile. Missing you, David! Elaine Sheeran
