Constance H. Chandler of Dorchester peacefully passed away on August 24, 2021. She was 88 years old.

Beloved wife of the late Leonard C. Chandler. Loving mother of Deborah Carter, Ruth Pina, Gertrude Hester, David J. Hester, Florence Knight, Charles B. Hester, Aaron Hester, and Kim Venable. Sister of Robert Cain (Deceased), Florence Bayless (Deceased), William Rosary (Deceased), Lucille Neeley, Matthew Rosary (Deceased), Katura Sumrell, Charles Rosary, and Donna Rosary. Constance is also lovingly survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many extended family and close friends.

Constance was a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for 28 years before retiring. She was a matter-of-fact, independent, compassionate, wise, and loving mother; She enjoyed long drives and spending time with her family. Appreciative of all kinds of music, but she had a love for smooth jazz! Constance enjoyed fashion, jewelry, and trips to the casino. In her younger years, Constance played basketball, field hockey, tennis, and baseball at Barnstable High School. She was a wonderful mother to her eight children; She filled their lives with love, respect, tradition, and family. She will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Visiting hour on Thursday, September 2, 2021, 10-11 AM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston. Masks Required.
