Obituary for Christopher Welsh

Christopher Welsh, 59, longtime Hingham resident, passed away on October 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

A graduate of Hingham High School, class of '84, Chris worked in the paint department at Home Depot. Known for his helpfulness, kindness, humor, and determination, Chris was steadfast in his belief that cancer should never become someone else's burden.

He was the beloved son of Sandra Welsh of Hingham and the late Frederick E. Welsh, Jr., and the loving brother of Lynne Welsh of Kingston.

Services were private.

    I just heard today about Chris' passing. So very sad. I worked with Chris years ago at HD in the paint dept. He was a great friend. Fun to work with as well as paint with. I hadn't seen Chris in quite a while, but I often think of him and how we would always say.... WHAT'S UP ???? I know I am late writing this but.... "May God be with his family and loved ones at this sad time." Dawn.

    Ken trudell

    I worked with Chris at HD for many years. We would trade news stories and he would tell me about a new spot to eat while claiming another keno win. I will miss his friendship and expertise in the paint department.
