I had been cutting Chris's hair for the last ten years or so. I actually stumbled upon this news after not seeing him and wondering if he was okay. I find myself sad but also happy to know him, he was always so kind and caring to not only me but everyone he spoke of. I will miss our talks of Florida, Big Sandy, and of course the chocolate chip cookies.

It comes with a heavy heart after hearing the bad news from his loving brother David that my best friend had passed suddenly. My thoughts are wit David, George and Elaine during this time. Chris was a great friend, man and will be missed from all the times we sat at a bar for a few and a couple dozen each of oysters. I will miss him and will miss his assistance at Big Sandy Pond either putting in the docks or taking them out. Oh and the days and nights in between having a cocktail or two on the deck above looking over the pond Rest in Peace my brother and I will see you on the other side.

My prayers are with all those who lost a brother, and uncle and a friend. I will miss his smiling face. Chris was my third little brother from another mother. I really don't remember a time when he wasn't in my life in someway. He may not have always been present, but he was and will always in my thoughts and prayers. Diana Littleton

I lived in South Boston in another life. 481 E 7th st. Chris was on the 3rd floor and I was on the first. I knew Chris from Milton. He made me chocolate chip cookies in a fancy tin for Christmas and left at my door. Shush a kind heart. Wish I went out for a pint with him. RIP Chris. Marty Earner. MHS 76

I was fortunate enough to cross paths with Christopher and get to know him when he would come to visit the Collett Family at the cottage. I was always included as one of the gang and will cherish the time spent with him and the memories created. Christopher loved life and those around him. In recent years when planning my annual Pilgrimage back to Big Sandy, I would always check with Robert (Collett) and Christopher beforehand to make sure we would not miss each other. I know he will be right next to me next summer when out on a sail. A genuine person who was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. May he great the rest of us in Heaven with open arms and a big sandwich. I consider myself lucky to have been able to call him my friend. John Lally

Chris was not blood related but an amazing addition to our family. We are forever grateful for his company at the cottage, his chocolate chip cookies, and his endless childhood stories with my Dad. He treated our daughter Ellie like a complete queen and she absolutely adored him. Pretty sure he was her first love. She love her "Cottage Chris". Love you Chris and sending prayers to all!

Thinking of you and your family. My deepest sympathy. Chris brought a smile to all who knew him. I will always remember his great Chocolate chip cookies! When Chris came to the cottage he would always make a separate batch for me and hid them in the freezer! He will be missed by all! Beth

Tough to form words of a forty year friendship. Chris was about enjoying life, loving friends - which love was demonstrated repeatedly through our friendship. Now, America's favorite houseguest is now at home in heaven as Gods favorite houseguest! Going to miss you forever. Love Janice Rentel ❤️
