Carlos Alberto Penaranda, Sr., 77, of South Boston, passed away September 10, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Loving son of Marcial Penaranda and Ester Salazar, Carlos was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. His passion was mechanics and music, a faithful follower of the Res Sox and Deportivo Saprissa. He loved his children and his grandchildren gave him happiness. Beloved husband of Eneida Guerrero. Loving father of Carlos Penaranda, Jr., Rodmy Penaranda, Shirley Arrieta-Oramas, Grettel Pereira, Cindy Penaranda, Junior Penaranda, Marianela Penaranda, Jose Penaranda, Karol Penaranda and Nelson Penaranda. Cherished grandfather of Steven Oramas, Ashley Marie Oramas, Genesis Badilla, Juan Pablo Badilla, Diana Badilla, Melissa Duran, Ian Penaranda, Samuel Penaranda, Liam Morales, Alison Penaranda, Paul Rockbrand, Eva Penaranda, Monserrat Zamudio,Johanna Zamudio. Carlos is survived by his siblings: Yolanda Penaranda, Juan de Dios Penaranda, and Ines Penaranda. Visiting hours will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Monday, September 13, 2021 from 4-6 PM. A Prayer Service will follow at 6:00 PM.
