Obituary for Boniface Jean Francois

Boniface Jean Francois, 71, of Dorchester, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

Boniface Jean Francois was born on February 25, 1950 in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. He was the first born of the late Philias and Merilia Jean Francois. Boniface lived in Port-de-Paix until he completed his studies and at age 22, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts. Once in Boston, he continued his studies, learned English and went on to work at Hebrew Rehabilitation for 27 years. Later, in 2003, he worked at the Four Seasons until 2012 when he retired. In addition to his many years of work, Boniface was known for his love of music, soccer, and people. He enjoyed singing and listening to music and traveling to Haiti.

Boniface was a bright, fun-loving uncle, husband, and brother who loved many and was loved by many more.

He leaves behind his wife, Marie Jeannette Jean Francois, his brothers including: James Saint-Georges and family, Elias Jean-Francois and family, Bazelais Jean-Francois and family; and Jean Vidas Vilnaigre, as well: Marie-Helene Jean Francois and family; Yvette Jean-Francois, many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, formerly Saint Angela’s Church, 1540 Blue Hill Avenue, Boston, Thursday, January 6 at 10:00 AM. Family and friends invited. Visiting hours at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Wednesday January 5 from 4-8 PM. Burial Saint Michael Cemetery.
