Obituary for Annie Pearl Dempsey

Annie Pearl Pratt-Dempsey, a cherished wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and steadfast friend, embarked on her peaceful journey home on May 6, 2024, within the comforting walls of Deaconess Hospital. Born in the heartwarming town of Livingston, Alabama, she graced the bustling streets of Boston, Massachusetts for over six decades. Her life was a symphony of kindness, generosity, and an unwavering love for exploration.

From an early age, Annie professed her unwavering faith in Christ, a beacon that guided her throughout her earthly existence. As a devoted member of St. Mark’s Church, her compassion and unwavering faith inspired those fortunate enough to cross her path. She immersed herself in prayer sessions and eagerly absorbed the wisdom shared by her cousin, Pastor Mike Sanders, at Christian Faith Beyond Walls.

Annie’s heart overflowed with love for her family. She leaves behind her husband, Frederick Dempsey and their children, Darius F Dempsey and Michelle R Dempsey-Evans. Her legacy extended to her beloved grandchildren: Julius Evans, Jocelyn Evans, Darius Dempsey, and Asunti Irby-Dempsey. These cherished souls would forever carry her memory within their hearts.

Her laughter echoed through the years, a testament to her selflessness and the joy she brought to those around her. As she rests in eternal peace, reunited with her mother, Mattie B Dade, and her father, John Henry Dade, may she find solace in the arms of her heavenly Father. Annie Pearl Pratt-Dempsey’s legacy will forever resonate—a melody of love, faith, and unwavering grace. 🌟🕊️
