Obituary for Anne "Annie" McCrea Sullivan

Anne “Annie” McCrea Sullivan, 1935- 2025.

Annie died at home in Canton on Wednesday July 2, 2025. A long-time resident of Osterville and Milton, she was born in Long Beach, California to the late Estelle and Vice Admiral John L. McCrea, U.S.N. She attended the Punahou School in Honolulu, HI, Georgetown Visitation in Washington, DC and Garland College in Boston, MA.

She leaves her children: Michael M. Falvey, Meredith A. Falvey and Timothy J. Falvey; her grandchildren: Michele Wescott, Michael Falvey, Cody Kuczenski and Kevin Falvey; her great-grandchild: Luke Falvey; her nieces and nephew Jennifer Williams, John Niles, Rebecca Linguard and Meredith Niles; her grand-niece and nephews; her step-children: Edward T. Sullivan, Jr., Nancy Donnelly, and Jane Sullivan; and her long-time companion, W. Craig Dolan.

She was the wife of the late Edward T. Sullivan; sister of the late Meredith Coyne and mother of the late Christopher C. Falvey.

After raising her children, Annie re-entered the workforce as an office assistant at the advertising agency, Humphrey Browning and MacDougall. She earned her realtor license and later retired.

She was a member of the Milton Garden Club and was involved in book club. She was also a member of the Beach Club in Centerville for 32 years. Annie enjoyed attending USS Iowa reunions, life-time friendships, walking her dogs, knitting, reading, winters in Vero Beach, FL, and making blueberry buckle and chicken wings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Gregory Church, 2215 Dorchester Ave. Dorchester Thursday, July 10 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Milton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Annie may be sent to Shriners Children’s Boston, Office of Philanthropy, 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02114 or to the Canton Fire Department, attn. Chief Wendell Robery, 99 Revere St., Canton, MA 02021.
