I'm lost for words to this very day. I've met Andre at Salem State as freshman's together. We would bump into each other or call each other from time to time. Dre was a good man, and I'm so sorry for his family. Great person to talk to. He will be missed.

Dre and I went to school in Bedford for 12yrs. We had a lot of fun on those long bus rides. We hung out a few times over the years and he was one of my groomsmen in my wedding. I'm surprised and saddened he's no longer with us. I pray for strength, peace and comfort for Mrs. Taylor and his family. -Judd

Mrs. Taylor, I am sorry for your loss. I'm sorry we didn't meet on better occasions. Andre was my son's favorite friend. Andre was like another son to me. I will miss him dearly. Wish I had seen him on his last visit to Boston. I am however, thankful the he and Thomas spent time together. I loss my youngest son three years ago. I know the sting, the frustration and the PAIN of death of a love one. My depect condon to you and your family. Trust Jesus. He will comfort you like no one else can. There is no expiration date on grief. Cry if you must, eat a box of chocolates if you must, take a bat and beat a tree. Do what ever you need to do as long as it doesn't hurt you or anybody else. You will survive for a while, then you'll learn how to live again with Andre in your heart. God.bless you.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my childhood friend. We shared many memories together as METCO students, navigating a world that often challenged us but also inspired us to grow and dream. He faced adversity with courage and grace, and his passion for civil rights reflected a commitment to justice. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May his memory continue to inspire all of us who knew him.

André was never forgettable in high school. Shy with beautiful green eyes that always seemed like he was curious about life. When my brother predeceased us six years ago, André was supportive and caring. André had a passion for good food. I occasionally uploaded my home cooked meals to social media. We bonded over our carnivorous shared tastes. When I prepare meals, I often think of him. I don't think I will ever stop. As the political climate heightened, Andre was a voice that stood for equality. I know he had plans to bring his son to Georgia to show him his roots. I cannot imagine how devastated his entire family must be feeling. I hope that his son visits Georgia with his family. The grief must be overwhelming right now now...but I hope some day. André is missed, loved and cared about. I will see him in Heaven. I would like to hug him for all that he was on Earth and for all that he will be in Heaven. God bless.

My sincerest condolences to The Taylor Family and his son. I was a classmate at Bedford High, a year behind Andre, and had a few classes over the years including Energy Devices and Auto Class which they don't have much anymore. He was fun and charming and grew passionate in his beliefs as we reconnected via Facebook. It's an incredible shock of his passing and tough to comprehend when someone is so passionate. I wish you all strength in the coming days months and years as you mourn his passing. 🤗 ❤️ 🙏
