Albert M. Portagallo, age 65, of Braintree, went home to the Lord, after a brief illness, on May 29, 2021.

Albert was the son of the late Albert and Teresa Portagallo, of New York. He was the loving companion for over 30 years of the late Joyce M. King of Braintree. Brother of the late Suzanne Butler and her husband Leo of Bellmore, NY. Al is also survived by many friends and co – workers. Albert was born in Bronx, NY. He was a graduate of Queens College, Brooklyn. Albert played professional baseball in Italy. He was part of the 1977 European Championship Team.

He was employed by Citizens Bank for many years. He was an Assistant Vice President in the Trade Finance – e commerce, Global Markets Division.

A Committal Service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 o’clock.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Children’s Hospital Trust, 410 Park Drive, Suite 612, Boston, MA 02115, in memory of Lael T. King.
