Frederick J. Dolan, “Jed”, son of W. Craig Dolan, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer who grew up in Milton. He is a graduate of Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA, Providence College in Providence, RI. He received his funeral service degree from the New England Institute at the former Mount Ida College in Newton, MA. He has been licensed since 1994 and is the fourth generation of Dolan family members serving the community as funeral directors. He is a coach with Milton Youth Soccer, active with Selected Independent Funeral Homes and elected as a Trustee of Milton Cemetery. Jed is a member of the Dorchester Lower Mills Merchant Association, Lower Mills Civic Association, Dorchester Board of Trade and Milton Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past president and board member of the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association and former Policy Board member for the National Funeral Directors Association. Jed and his wife Megan live in Milton with their sons Christopher and Henry.
