Yalanda Marie Bailey died, March 6, 2022 in Boston.

Yalanda Marie Bailey was born to Jacqueline Denise Bailey and Clifford Noble Bailey on February 4, 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts. Yalanda moved with her family to live in Baltimore, Maryland and then to Laurens, South Carolina and back to Boston where she settled. Yalanda received her high school diploma from Hyde Park High School and went on to receive a college degree in Communications/Television Productions. Yalanda found a career and recently retired from the MBTA as a Dispatcher after 15 years of service. Yalanda gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Ahnesti Abraham, age 16 and Charm Stephens, age 8.

Yalanda was diagnosed with cancer back in 2015 and made the choice to live out loud, traveling and making wonderful memories for her, her children, family, and friends.

Yalanda’s radiant smile lit up every room she entered. She cared deeply for her family and friends and supported us all at every chance. Yalanda was our living sunflower. She was a poet and loved to write. Yalanda loved her children with every being of her soul. She nurtured them and prepared them for the future. She encouraged them to live out loud, make their dreams come true and reach for the stars.

Yalanda leaves behind her two children, Ahnesti Abraham and Charm Stephens, her mother Jacqueline Bailey, her father Clifford Bailey, her sister Kawanda Boyd, brother-in-law Jamal Boyd, nieces Kajayla and Jahnna Boyd and a host of Loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

Visiting Hour, Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, 02124, 2-3 pm. Funeral Service 3-5 pm. Interment Private.
