Obituary for Vivian Sanders

Vivian Sanders, daughter of the late Willie Mae Cannon, Mother and father Walter “Tickle”Sanders, Ms. Vivian Sanders, was born June 29, 1943 in Florence, South Carolina, She entered eternal rest on January 5, 2024.

During Vivian’s childhood, she attended schools in New York. In her adulthood, Vivian left her hometown of New York, and migrated to Boston, Massachusetts. It was there she settled in and began employment at The Hyatt Regency Hotel, in Cambridge, MA for several years and also at the Jean Mclean, Nursing Home, in Roxbury as a PCA.

Proceeding her in death were her two daughters Mecca and Robin, she also leaves behind her two daughters Kim Sanders Barker, and Karen Sanders.

She leaves to cherish her memory, are her (Grandson’s) Lamar Sanders, Hakeem Yaya, Tyreek Barker, Anthony L. Stallworth and her (Granddaughters) Medina Yaya, Tyrah Barker, Mecca Sanderson, Takeya Sanderson, Jasmine Little, Christina Sanders, Chaquin Sanders, and her Great-grandchildren; Jae’Daun Sanderson, LJ Thompson, Janiah Yaya, Vania Thompson, Aiden Brisborn, Malyla Sanderson & Ayla Stallworth.

She also leaves behind her niece Gina Sanders, and cousins Lorraine Roberts, Gerald Sanders, Anita A.Wells, Betty L. Durham and the McKeiver family from Washington, DC. Best Family from Boogie Down Bronx, aunt Ethel “Bubbles” Sanders also from Bronx. Also left to mourn are a host of Friends, from Amsterdam Avenue.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday, January 20th from 10-11AM. Funeral Service to begin at 11AM. Private Interment.
