Obituary for Theresa Chisholm

Theresa A. Chisholm passed away on January 7, 2023.

A former resident of Quincy, MA. She was the daughter of the late Catherine A. and James A. Chisholm of Caledonia Mills, Nova Scotia, Canada. Theresa is survived by her beloved sister Mary “Jane” Flynn. Predeceased by her siblings, Catherine “Kay” McDonald, Mary Sullivan, Margaret Brown, Alexander “Sander” Chisholm, and Isabel MacIsaac. Faith and family were most important to Theresa. She was a devoted and active member of her Parish. Theresa was a loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews from Boston, MA, and Nova Scotia, Canada. A cherished aunt to the late Jimmy and Jackie Flynn. And a special great aunt to Kellie Flynn. Theresa enjoyed her long-lasting career working with patients and staff at Boston Medical Center (formerly University Hospital) and Mass Eye and Ear. She was a long-time volunteer to several charitable organizations, including Neighbors In Deed, visitors to homebound Elders, as well as a volunteer at her local food pantry. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, MA on Friday, January 13 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends respectively invited.

A visiting hour will be held at the Church, from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Burial will be Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Theresa’s memory to: Mother Olga/Daughters of Mary of Nazareth, P.O. Box 690789, Quincy, MA 02269.
