Teckla Staton McDowall, of Dorchester, died on Wednesday February 10, 2021. She was 60 years old.

Loving wife of Calvin McDowall of Dorchester. Beloved mother of Ausha Staton of Holbrook. Sister of Althea Greenidge, Helen Jackson, Mervyn Greenidge, Allister Greenidge, Anthony Greenidge-LaRoque and the late Dexter Greenidge. Teckla was looking forward to the arrival of her first grandchild expected in March.

Teckla was born and raised in Trinidad. After coming to the United States, she earned her master’s degree and worked as an executive assistant for many years. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and gardening. Most of all Teckla loved her family and spending time with them was the most important aspect of her life. She was a United States Army Veteran. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known and loved her.

Visiting hour in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS, Friday February 19, 2021, 10-11AM. Family and friends invited. Private service in the funeral home at 11AM.
