Obituary for Rudy Diamond

Rudolpho Read (Rudy Diamond) was born May 09, 1959, to Clarise (Forbes) and Luis Read (both deceased) in Limon, Costa Rica. Rudy relocated to the United States in 1976 joining his mother and stepfather Claude Paul. Rudy soon joined the Worldwide Wrestling Federation (WWE/WWF). Being 1 of 13 children this was a way for Rudy to burn excess energy and from driving his parents and siblings crazy with his minute-by-minute antics as well as his shenanigans. Post wrestling, Rudy started Diamond Construction employing all his young nephews and friends teaching them the trade. When not working Rudy’s favor past time was spending time around his kids or being around family gatherings talking “foolishness” to make you laugh! His favorite sport was fishing, preferably deep sea.

Rudy and Robin were united in Holy Matrimony on August 29, 2009, creating and sharing many precious memories. One thing Rudy wanted to teach you was to live your life without fear. If you spend your life holding out because you’re afraid of the outcome, you’ll miss out on living entirely. Rudy was diagnosed with cancer in June 2022 and in true fashion he fought the good fight, showing his children to smile through the pain, not to complain and to hold their head up high. Rudy’s fight came to an end on Saturday March 08, 2025. Rudy leaves behind to mourn his spirit of freedom and fearlessness is his wife Robin, his children, siblings, grandchildren with a host of other family and friends.

Hi there. I'm a wrestling fan who read about Rudy's passing. I just want people to know there are people out there who remember him from television to this day. I'm glad to see that he went on to have a good life after wrestling and was well-loved by his family and friends. You're in my thoughts and prayers on this day, God bless.

Rudy I can see and hear you walk into dunkin, and say out loud, All stand with your hand saluted to your forehead. We know joy is in dunkin. It never will be the same you had so many impact on customers and just talking to the kids. I will always remember your favorite food. A ex- green tea as is and a turkey sausage egg and cheese on English muffin. Rest in peace, Rest in peace. Carrie Hunter and team. Dunkin, 1926 Columbus Ave, Roxbury
