Rhonda Stella (Juitt) Owens was born on September 4, 1953 to the late Stella Allen Temple and Herman Juitt in Boston Massachusetts. She was raised in Dorchester where she attended and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls. At the age of 15, she got her first job at KFC and soon after she met and married the late William P. Owens. Rhonda lived her years, enjoying cooking, dancing music, family, and her fishnets to know Rhonda is to know she never met a stranger. Rhonda would open the doors in her kitchen to anyone and they would swear by her famous macaroni and cheese. Rhonda had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile that very few could resist. When you were in her presence, you had to be prepared for anything that may come out of her mouth so if you didn’t want to know the truth, you better not ask Rhonda. Rhonda leaves behind to cherish her memories sisters, Bonita Alves ( Maryland) Georgette Alves ( Kansas) and her brother, Derrick Temple (Worcester). Rhonda also leaves behind her eight children Pauline Sims (Robert) Stoughton, MA, Trinette Owens-Lee ( Kwame) Brockton, MA, Sharese Owens , Dorchester, MA, Tracey Robinson (Grant) Covington, GA, Chanel Owens, Holbrook, MA, Brandi Flowers (Ervin) Dorchester, MA, Jason Simmons ( Jacqueline) Brockton, MA and Jaime Owens ( Leonides) Dorchester, MA. Grandchildren: Janese, Travis, Trevor, Lamarr, Kwame Jr., Kiara, Tyrik, Ashley, Weldon, Sharae, Shadaiza, Marquis, Tyrell, Trent, Tracy, Semaj, Janel, Semari, Brandon, Nori, Jason Jr., Jaleo, Jaron and Ava, 13 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews. James Simmons ( common law husband) and Genevieve Tetteh Twiggy (lifelong friend) as well as a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday March 10th from 11am - 12 pm. The Funeral Service 12:00 pm. Interment Private.
