Obituary for Regina J. Lindgren

Regina J. “Jean” (Matarazzo) Lindgren, age 101, a longtime resident of Milton, died peacefully, Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the John Scott House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Braintree.

Regina was born in Quincy, to the late Felix and Empress (McLean) Matarazzo. Raised and educated in Quincy, she was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1941.

She lived in Milton for over fifty-five years.

Jean was employed as a secretary in the dental industry, having worked at a practice in Dorchester Lower Mills, and had been retired for many years.

She was a longtime active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Quincy.

Jean was an avid reader. Most of all, she was devoted to her family, actively supporting their many activities and accomplishments.

Beloved wife of the late Carl V. Lindgren.

Devoted mother of Pamela M. Koylion of Kingston and her late husband Eugene, Edward T. Lindgren of Barre, Vt.

Loving grandmother of eight and great grandmother of five.

Dear sister of the late Marie A. Rucky and her late husband Nicholas, the late Bernard V. Matarazzo and his late wife Louise.

Memorial Funeral Services will be conducted at Faith Lutheran Church, 201 Granite Street, Quincy, on Friday, October 11, at 10 a.m. Pastor Niki Harvell will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visiting Hours will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, East Milton, on Thursday, October 10, from 4 – 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund, 201 Granite Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
