Ralph Michael Nagle, 87, Esteemed IBM Sales Executive and Adventurous Spirit, Dies

Ralph Michael Nagle, a highly regarded IBM sales executive known for his adventurous spirit and unwavering dedication to his family, passed away on January 25, 2024, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 87.

Ralph was born in Boston, MA, to Teresa Murray and Ralph S. Nagle and lived in the Hyde Park area. He was the youngest of three children, with two older sisters, Patricia Desmond and Terri Hogue, both of whom predeceased him. Ralph's early life was marked by a passion for sports including playing golf at Ponkapoag, watching Red Sox games from the bleachers, and roller-skate racing with his friends.

He attended high school at Boston Tech and later attended Northeastern University. In 1959, Ralph began his illustrious career at IBM as a computer technician, steadily climbing the ranks over 35 years to become a Senior Sales Executive in the Financial Service vertical. His exceptional sales leadership earned him four trips to the renowned Golden Circle, recognizing him as one of the top 1% in sales globally. Ralph was celebrated for his ability to drive partnerships and solve complex problems, often compared to the famous Peter Falk character "Columbo" for his looks and logic.

Ralph spent the past decade exploring APAC countries, especially Thailand. His legacy of hard work, willingness to take risks, and sense of adventure was a testament to his extraordinary resilience, compassionate, and protective nature. Throughout his life, he maintained a close bond with his sisters and family, providing unwavering support throughout their lives.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Maureen Nagle; his daughter, Colleen Anthony Nagle; his son Michael Anthony Nagle, and his children Madeline, Anabella, and Maximus; his son Brian Anthony Nagle, and his son Mac Anthony; his daughter Kristin Anthony McCoy and her children Hailey and Brianna; his niece Michelle Hogue; and his nephew Danny Hogue. William Ellery Channing elementary school. Remember him well. Quiet, smart, good looking. Successful career, not surprising. Rest in peace.
