Obituary for Pierre Luders Jacques

Pierre Luders Jacques was born in Gonaives Haiti, on January 25, 1941 to Emmanuel and Anne Benonie Jacques. He had 10 siblings: Marie Nellie, Abner (deceased), Yonette, Eder, Jacqueline (deceased), Edouard, Dunes (deceased), Michel (deceased), Marie Josee and Gerald. They can all agree that he was not only a brother, but a father figure and a friend. During his time in Haiti, he was able to obtain his degree in accounting, but his real passion was working on cars as a mechanic. Before migrating to Boston, Massachusetts he met his beautiful wife Anne Claudette Moise of 54 years, however their journey started 7 years before marital bliss. He fathered 8 wonderful children.

After calling Boston his home, he then became a well-known and respected mechanic in Dorchester. Fr. Luders was known to many as a good man, everyone loved him; from kids, adults, church members, friends and family members alike. He also loved everyone just as much, especially his grand and great grandchildren. He was a great companion, friend and brought joy to many of our lives. Fr. Luders had a great heart and a lot of tolerance and patience for people. We know not only his heart but his soul is at peace, and I do want to leave you with this scripture. Ecclesiastes 3:4 says “a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” Yes, this is the time to mourn and cry because he is physically gone, but we are also celebrating the great man he was. Fr. Luders is no longer suffering and is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Survived by his wife Claudette and his children: Kettly, Martine, Claude, Evens, Richard, Yanick, Stephen and Joanne. His grandchildren: Devone, Tracey, Jonathan (deceased), Orion, Bianca, Benjamin (deceased), Michael, Takara, Javanny, Anthony, Tatiana, Jerron, Pierre Richard, Stephen, MyKayla, Rioko, Yanique, Naimah, Khamari, Jolie, Ronald Luders, Renee, Samuel, Claudia & Donovan. Also, his extended family; Jacques, Moise, Louissaint, D’Empaire, Legros, Pardo, Thompson, Exantus, Sylvain, Mathieu and Preval. Including 12+ great grandchildren, distant relatives and friends alike.
