Pierre E. Auguste, died December 27, 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts at the age 50.

Pierre is survived by his wife Marie Ruth Auguste and his son, Evan Louis Auguste; his sister Miyonne Dorestant, brother Richard Auguste and his wife Sara A. Fernandes; and sister Sadia Auguste Girault; his nephews and nieces Gregory Dorestant, Pierre Robert Dorestant, Yveline Esna, Rashelle Noncent, Hasadiah Girault, and Javen Girault. Pierre is preceded in death by his father Vilaire L. Auguste and his mother Virginie (Maumus) Auguste.

Pierre was born in 1973 in Boston, MA to parents who immigrated to the United States from Haiti. Pierre and his family were devout members of the congregation at Temple Salem Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dorchester, MA, where he enjoyed participating in the Pathfinders Club. Pierre attended Berea SDA Schooland later St. Gregory Elementary School in Dorchester Lower Mills where he won acclaim as a student and as an actor, performing in student musical productions of Something’s Afoot, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Godspell, in which he played the lead role of Jesus. He graduated from Boston Technical High School and Boston College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and later, a Masters degree in Finance.

Pierre married his lifelong love, Marie Ruth (Baudouin) Auguste in 1999 as he launched successful career in finance with State Street Global Advisors, where he eventually rose to a senior role in the foreign currency exchange desk. But Pierre never lost his passion for performing that he discovered as a young actor in Dorchester, and in 2005, he and Ruth re-located to Los Angeles, CA, where he joined the Screen Actors Guild and pursued a career in acting. The Augustes welcomed their son Evan Louis Auguste in 2011 and Evan became Pierre’s top priority and greatest joy. In 2015, the Augustes returned to his native Massachusetts and settled in Newton, MA. He brought his finance skills to bear for several different businesses, including XL Fleet, the Reporter Newspapers, and PowerFund Partners.

Funeral services at Temple Salem Seventh Day Adventist Church, 222 Woodrow Ave., Dorchester, MA Friday January 5, 2024 at 11:00 am.
