Peter P. Gardiner husband of devoted wife, the late Winifred (O’Connor) Gardiner of 64 years passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2024, after a long illness.

Survived by his children - daughter Deborah Green and her husband Christopher of Kingston, daughter Susan Harkins of Rockland, son Peter Gardiner Jr and his wife Helene of Saugus, son Michael Gardiner and his wife Grace of Hanover.

Grandpa to ten loving grandchildren Michael Green and his wife Jillian, Sarah O’Malley and her husband Paul, Kay Green, Kalyn Harkins, Carly Harkins, Krista Gardiner, Drew Gardiner, Ryan Gardiner and his wife Jennifer, Justin Gardiner and his wife Arline, Jessica Gardiner and her fiancée Reese Fallon.

Great grandpa to five great-grandchildren Mary O’Malley, Paul O’Malley, Elle Green, Brooks Gardiner, and Lena Gardiner.

Peter was born in Co. Mayo, Ireland to the late John and Teresa (Keane) Gardiner and is one of nine children.

He is survived by his sisters Christina Oxley, Tesha Gardiner, Sister Francis Gardiner, and Lyla O’Connor.

He is predeceased by his brothers Kieran, Vincent, Robert, and Eamonn Gardiner.

Peter is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, and their families.

Peter was the former owner of R.G. Mearn Construction and Supplies.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 31st at St. Agatha Church, 432 Adams Street, MILTON at 10:30 AM. Interment in Fairmount Cemetery, WEYMOUTH.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 30th at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE from 4-7 PM.
