Our deepest sympathy to Barbara and to the entire Mc Laughlin family. Paul was a cherished friend for many years. We shared the same birthday, he was always in my thoughts on that occasion since our return to retire in Ireland. Paul rest in peace.

To Barbara and the entire McLaughlin Family I was so, so sad to read of Paul's passing. We have been such close friends for over 65 years. From playing the part of Gay Caballero's in the 7th grade at St. Ann's, to drinking eighty five cent quarts of Schlitz beer and playing pool in my attic at 17, to our snowed-in trip to the 1967 AFC championship in Buffalo, to our leisurely lunches on San Francisco Bay, we had some good times. When we last spoke, I sensed he was in pain and had hoped to see him while I was in Boston. I'm on assignment in Alaska at the moment and will try to get back for Paul's funeral. My prayers are with Paul and my thoughts are with all of you.
