Obituary for Paris Amaria Lewis

Paris Amaria Lewis came into this world prematurely on July 1, 2019, a day after her family hosted a baby shower for her. Although she arrived a month and a half early, her parents were ecstatic to finally meet their little princess Paris. She was extremely tiny and fragile weighing only 3 pounds and 3 ounces.

Shortly after her birth, doctors notified her parents that Paris had several medical complexities, including Heart & Lung issues. Her severe medical issues caused her to spend the first 10 months of her life in the hospital. It wasn't until March of 2020, nearly a year after she was born, that her parents were finally able to bring their baby girl home.

Just 2 months prior to Paris finally getting released, the Coronavirus pandemic had started to spread all over the world, so her parents were extremely anxious to bring her home, where they felt she would be safest. Due to all of this, many friends & family weren't able to be around or spend time with Paris. With her already having life-threatening medical issues and Covid-19 at its height, Paris's parents couldn't take the chance of letting their precious baby girl getting infected.

Paris needed care every hour of the day, 7 days a week, so her incredible mother Raymonde quit her job in order to tend to Paris’s every need. Paris’s big sister Persia, and Paris’s father Ray also both stepped up to help take care of her. The whole family adored her and showered her with love & affection. Paris loved attention and would light-up whenever someone would say her name or play with her.

As much as she loved her parents and her big sister, nobody had quite the effect on Paris as her grandmother Tracey, who would Facetime Paris every day, sometimes several times a day. The second Paris would hear her grandmother saying her name she would start smiling immediately. Her smile was so beautiful & contagious, she had such an amazing aura.

Unfortunately throughout her short life Paris was in and out of the hospital. She would get admitted for a week, then get released, sent back home for a few weeks and repeat the process over and over. Despite her being a sick child, she always remained a happy baby, full of so much joy.

Paris loved being chauffeured around in her stroller on warm, sunny days. Her little cute, noisey-self would look around at the other little kids laughing & playing, people walking their dogs and everything else going on outside. At home she loved relaxing, being tickled and massaged by her parents and hogging the TV. Some of her favorite movies were Moana, Shrek 2 & 4, Sing part 1 & 2, as well as Nursery Rhymes. The minute someone tried to turn the TV, she would act like the lil' diva she was. Her parents didn't mind though, because she was their heart & soul.

From the day she was born, the odds were against her, but Paris refused to go out without a fight. She battled her illnesses day after day, week after week, month after month, for nearly 4 years. She had the spirit of a warrior. She was such a resilient child. A real life angel who left a lasting impression on anybody that ever came in contact with her. She possessed the ability to brighten anybody’s day, and make anybody smile. Although her life came to an abrupt end, she left her family with a lifetime of memories and she will be forever missed. Paris Amaria Lewis was truly one of a kind.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her parents, siblings; Persia & Carter, grandparents; Tracey Lewis, Raymond Deas, Roger Eveillard and Evie Conte. She is also survived by her aunts, unlces, cousins & extended family.
