Obituary for Michael Patrick Mahon
Michael Patrick Mahon, loving husband, son, brother and uncle of 4 passed peacefully at home on March 6, 2021, at age 55 surrounded by his beloved wife, Dina, and family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School and the Wentworth Institute of Technology. For more than 25 years, he was a project manager and designer at City Point Fire Protection.
Michael had a contagious passion for life unequaled by others and lived his life to the fullest. He shared his rich mix of compassion, humor, sense of adventure, curiosity, positive and fun-loving attitude with his family, friends and anyone he met along the way, influencing them with his smile and irresistible laughter-leaving us all a little better for having known him. His zest for adventure led him to travel extensively; exploring Boston harbor and points beyond on his speed boat, racing cars, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, white water rafting and jam sessions on his drums. He cherished family events-Thanksgiving, Humarock beach vacations and the annual cousins ski weekend, always first to organize the next outing with friends and family.
Michael is survived by his loving wife Dina Mahon, his mother, Helen Mahon and predeceased by his father, Paul Mahon. He is also survived by his brother Brian Mahon and wife Karen and their children Paul and Julia; sister Kelly Mahon and her son Ryan Louis and his wife Hannah and their son Oliver; his mother-in-law Geri Radzewsky; brother-in-law Craig Radzewsky; and sister-in-law Jodi Wagner and her daughter Ava; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds of people he has touched along the way.
