Menwongba Gokawon passed away on October 21, 2024, at the age of 53.

He was the son of the late Vonyee Dahn and Doemie Dahn born in Nimba county Liberia. He has ten siblings: John Dahn. Moses Dahn, Newokay Dahn, Ben Dahn, Edith Dahn, Leona Dahn, Rita Dahn, Yeasiah Dahn, and Sue Dahn. Comfort Dahn predeceased.

During the civil crises in Liberia, his late mother Vonyee Dahn filed in a resettlement program for him and his siblings, and he came to America in 2001. He lived in Rhode Island for couple of years and moved to Massachusetts in pursue of higher education and obtained a degree from the Boston University.

He is survived by his former wife Maime and their five children as well as his nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. Children: Menwongba Gonkerwon Jr., Faith Gonkerwon, and Borbortay Gonkerwon live here while Reuben Gonkerwon and Evelyn Gonkerwon live in Liberia.

OT as we commonly called him will be missed because he was very humble, hardworking and very supportive of his family.

Visitation will be held at Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills, on Saturday, November 23rd, from 10-11 AM. Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
