Obituary for Melvin Berry, Sr.

Melvin was born on August 13, 1951 in Blakely, Georgia, to Bessie Mae and Eddie C. Berry. Family of 8 children Melvin was the last, but not the least.

He graduated from Everett High School, class of 1971. In 1978 he married Paula M. Vaughn and had two sons, Anthony and Melvin, Jr.

Melvin enjoyed an adventurous life. He loved traveling, fishing, going to the park to feed the squirrels and birds. His favorite hobby was miniature trains. He was a most gentle and meek soul.

He leaves behind his two sons Anthony and Melvin, Jr. His sisters and brothers: Floyd Berry and his wife Muriel, Essie Mae Smith and her husband Clarence, Gloria Berry-Bell and her husband Robert, and Maxine Berry McCall.

Melvin is also lovingly survived by many friends and extended family.

Visitation on Tuesday March 26th 10-11 AM in the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, Dorchester Lower Mills.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.

    To the family of Melvin Berry Sr. I am sorry for your loss. Melvin was a former member of Holy Temple Church in Roxbury MA. He was a pleasant and quiet man.
