My memories of Melissa were at your parents home on the Island. She would always be feeding your mom her yogurt. She was loving and caring. We are so sorry for your loss. We hope she is at peace now. May she rest now with your loving parents by her side. xx

Dear Paul, Julie, Chris, Amy, and Tim – Holding you all close as you mourn your dear, sweet sister Melissa and process this terrible loss. I've been thinking about her and all of you so much. I remember being a kid at family parties and looking up at Melissa as the glamorous, mischievous, "older/big kid" cousin who was always so friendly and fun to be around. And even though we didn't see each other often, Melissa always greeted me (and my family) as if no time had passed at all—giving big hugs, sharing hilarious stories, and picking up as if we had just seen each other. She was one-of-a-kind and full of love. I am sorry I won't be with you in person for Melissa's services. Please know I am thinking of you all and sending lots of love. -Karen Fogerty

I am so sorry to hear this news. Melissa and I were good friends back in the North Elementary School days. I'll never forget her taking me for my first horse ride on her horse Mariah(?), ... we both got bucked off! Many fun memories. Such sad news. Rest in peace, Melissa.

My condolences to all of Melissa's friends and family. Years ago we ate at Rebecca's, first cousins, but almost strangers. It has been so long since we spent any time together, but the conversation that day was as effortless as any I've ever had with anyone. She was a kind and sensitive person and her passing is quite sad. Billy Cotter
