Obituary for Maurice Mainville
Maurice Mainville was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on November 20, 1955. Maurice was a kind soul who was dedicated to helping others. He sought out a career in medicine. After finishing his secondary studies, he entered the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Haiti. After graduating, he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He held different positions, both at the Ministry of Public Health and at the United Nations various health agencies. His most recent position was as the technical advisor to the Secretary of Public Health. While there, he aided many in his community which was a passion of his. Maurice advocated for better healthcare for all including friends and family. This was shown through his hard work in his last position.
Maurice lived a very happy and full life. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Maurice always showed his love for life through his smile and heart warming conversations. In his last months, Maurice spent time with many loved ones, caring for family members who were ill. Maurice’s love was shown through acts of service. He could be found cooking and cleaning for loved ones, telling jokes and having a great time simply just enjoying life. Unfortunately, Maurice became ill and unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Margarette Saintus. He also left behind his children, Rose Tania Mainville, Dorothy Mainville and Donald Mainville; his sisters Micheline Mainville, Rosita Mainville, and Elsie Mainville and many nieces and nephews.
Today, we are mourning, a husband, a brother, and a friend. Maurice was an even-tempered man, full of courage, optimism, and confidence who shared his zest for life with everyone he came in contact with. Maurice will be missed but will always be remembered for the kind and loving person he was.
Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 460 Granite Avenue, EAST MILTON SQUARE on Saturday, October 30 from 3-4 PM. Funeral Service to begin at 4PM.
