Mary K. (DiPietro) Lacey, beloved wife of 62 years to the late Arthur Lacey, passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 87. She is survived by her adoring children Angela M. Long & her husband Richard A. Long of Quincy, MA, Michelle A. Lacey of Middletown, RI. and Annette T. Lacey of Quincy, MA. Mary was a special Nana to be sorely missed by her grandchildren Richard A. Long Jr. and his wife Leah J. Long and Alexandra V. Long, her “Queenie”. Proud Great-Grandmother of Ada B. Long. Devoted daughter of the late Philip and Alice (Pitts) DiPietro, of South Boston. Loving sister of Evelyn (DiPietro) Stewart of St Petersburg, FLA. and the late Felix DiPietro, Michael DiPietro, Alphonse DiPietro, Theresa (DiPietro) McDermott and George DiPietro.

Born on September 27, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, Mary lived a humbled life full of compassion & strength. She grew up in South Boston, then moved in 1969 raising her family in Lower Mills, Dorchester until this past year. Mary then resided at Hancock Park in Quincy, for which we will be forever thankful to the staff that cared for her, with such kindness & respect.

Mary fought courageously most of her life with multiple bouts of cancer and did so with grace & dignity. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Mary will be remembered for the love & joy she found in the simple pleasures of life. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
