Magdalena Desrosiers, known as Magda by her loved ones, was born on February 9th, 1989, in Port-au-Prince Haiti.

Magdalena lost her mother when she was only 5 years old, so she was raised by her grandmother Immacula Michel. She didn't have any sisters and brothers, but she was surrounded by a big family composed of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She went to school in Port-au-Prince, where she completed her studies until college. After she met the love of her life, Harry Myrthil, they got married and gave birth to a beautiful girl named Victoria Myrthil. The chaotic situation that prevailed in Haiti forced her to immigrate to the neighboring republic of Santo Domingo. It didn't take her long to enter the States in 2022 with her daughter, where Harry, her husband, is living. From there, Magda was going to show everybody how much of a beautiful soul she was. She helped her husband establish a lovely family by dedicating herself to work and studies. She was ready, motivated, and armed to succeed here in the States. In less than one year, she obtained her driver's license and started to work hard to help her husband meet the end of the months. She was getting ready to start the nursing program while she was working as a Home Health Aid because becoming a "nurse" was her goal, her objective. Unfortunately, on Sunday, June 16th, 2024, this dream will be extinguished in a horrible road accident. But rest assured that Magda will be greatly missed, and she will always be in our thoughts and our hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1548 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan on Saturday, July 6th at 10AM. Visiting hours at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Friday, July 5th from 5-8PM. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
