Mrs. LorrieAnn Johnson-Bartley, (49) of Dorchester, Massachusetts peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, surrounded by her family; her sweet spirit has now returned to God.

LorrieAnn was born in Boston, MA on January 25, 1973, to the late Lennon Dale Johnson and Patricia Ann Lewis Johnson. She graduated from Weston High School and was also a cheerleader there. Later on, LorrieAnn attended the University of West Virginia where she enjoyed studying many subjects. She also received the United States of America Department of Transportation “Administrators of Excellence Award” many times.

She met and married her beloved husband, Torrey Bartley on November 2, 1997; to this union, they were blessed with two children that remained to be their pride and joy; a son, Nicholas Eric Bartley; a daughter, Christina Jewel Bartley. Moreover, she was extremely serious about her children’s education so she became a METCO Board Member to help with the curriculum and leadership. She loved reading, roller skating, watching movies, and traveling. Also, LorrieAnn was the first female to play baseball for the Upper Roxbury-Lower Dorchester-Talbot Avenue Little League. She was the ultimate New England Patriot’s sports fan and also a music fan. She loved the group New Edition and Prince! LorrieAnn was also a member of the Blue Hill Church of Christ, 1505 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA. Furthermore, she was baptized into Christ in the year of our Lord 2000 at the Church of Christ located on Glenway Street, Dorchester, MA. In addition to this, she loved her church family, and over many years she discovered her ministry; she became a Sunday school teacher there.

LorrieAnn is preceded in death by her Father, Lennon Dale Johnson; Nephew, Christopher L. Johnson; Maternal grandmother, Ann Joyner Lewis; Paternal grandmother, Lucille Samuels; Mother-in-Law, Earnestine Bartley; Grandmother-in-Law, Ruby Maxwell. She left to cherish her many memories, including her loving Husband of many years, Torrey Bartley; her Treasured son and daughter, Nicholas Eric Bartley-(Homeboy); Christina Jewel Bartley-(Noodle); Mother, Patricia Ann Lewis Johnson; three siblings; Malyssa Amanda Johnson, Lennon Dale Johnson, II, and Marcee Lucille Johnson and a whole host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, and Extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Public Viewing will be held Saturday, October 22nd from 10AM to 11AM at Blue Hill Church of Christ, 1505 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan. The Funeral Service will begin at 11am. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Zoom link below
