Obituary for Keith Brown
Keith Cornel Brown, of Boston Massachusetts, after a battle with leukemia, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2021 at age 74 on the wedding anniversary of him and his wife Cynthia Patricia (South) Brown.
Born February 10th, 1947 in Kingston, Jamaica to Alpheus and Joyce Brown, Keith was a bright and athletic boy. He was fiercely passionate about helping people and supporting his family. He dedicated his life to both his friends and his family. He never stopped helping others getting a job or somewhere to lodge until they got on their feet. The list of friends he had collected along the way is infinite and they continue to stay loyal to this day.
After he graduated from Manchester High School in Mandeville, Jamaica, he landed his first job as a millwright at Alcan Jamaica. Later when he moved to the U.S., he worked several jobs; where he always referred his friends to come on board with him. Keith studied in the evenings for a certificate in Management at M.I.T. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 1973, Keith met his wife, Cynthia, while wholeheartedly adopting her other two children Christopher and Michelle Graham. They later went on to have Bobelle and Cornel. Omar South, Cynthia’s nephew who Keith also accepted as his own, came into the family a few years after to complete the family. Keith was a dedicated father and always put family first. His children went on to pursue higher education and rewarding careers.
Keith was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. His love for Cynthia is unmeasurable and endless. He loved her to the ends of the Earth and beyond. They had spent 48 years of their lives together. This love will live on and will continually be felt by their family and friends.
Keith was also passionate about gardening, fishing, and was a great handyman. He spent most of his retirement traveling, cooking, and gardening. Everyone loves his jerk seasoning that he’d use to make his beloved jerk pork. He was predeceased by his father and mother Alpheus and Joyce, and his brother Patrick. Keith leaves behind his wife, Cynthia; his children, Christopher, Michelle, Omar, Bobelle, and Cornel; his grandchildren, Misha, Lorenz, Matthew, Jumaane, and Nelly; his brothers and sisters Yvonne, Alpheus, Carol, and Paul; his sister-in-law Carol; son-in-law Clayton Nicholas, daughter-in-law Debra Graham; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
