Josie (Gendraw) Bishop of Dorchester, Departed this life on Monday, June 7, 2021.

Josie was born on December 31, 1944 in Montgomery, Alabama to Albert Gendraw Sr., and Susie sanders.

Josie was the beloved mother of the late Curtis Gendraw. Loving sister of Lillie Mae Gendraw, the late Annie Bee Caldwell, the late Ethel Mae Walker, the late Albert Gendraw Jr., Glen Holmes, Willie Gendraw and Willie Mae Gendraw. Loving grandmother to Tanika, Curtis, Chaka and Jamal Holloway. She also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren. Her Best friend Barbara Ginsmore and a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Dolan Funeral Home, 1140 Washington Street, DORCHESTER LOWER MILLS on Saturday June 12 from 2-3 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 3pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment private.
