She was born in Delmas, Haiti on January 30, 1971. Josianne was the third child of six children born to Jean Denis Fanfan and the late Cherizanne Fanfan.

In the winter of 1990, Josianne migrated to Boston, Massachusetts with her siblings and parents. Soon thereafter, she graduated from Boston High School. In 1993, Josianne enlisted in the military. She faithfully served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. Josianne wanted to care for others and so she graduated from nursing school at Quincy College. After obtaining her nursing license, Josianne worked as a nurse in Boston for many years for various healthcare companies. However, in 2006, Josianne and her family moved to Vero Beach, Florida and lived there for almost 13 years. In 2019, Josianne relocated back to Boston for treatment. She was a faithful servant of God. Josianne enjoyed sewing, nature and singing. She has traveled to Haiti on numerous occasions especially in mission trips with Boston Mother Care. She has also traveled to Kenya in Africa with her sister, Johane, nieces, and nephews. Her travel experiences left a significant impact and impression that stayed with her for her remaining years.

Josianne was a fighter and would never give up. She loved God and her family. She will always be remembered as a compassionate mother. She has left a mark on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed. Her family is grateful for many fond memories that they were able to share with Josianne during her lifetime. Josianne leaves behind her widow, Herb Allen, her three children: Max Andrew Rigaud, Timothy Josiah Dennis Rigaud, Esther Cherizia Cadet, her father and stepmother: Jean Dennis Fanfan and Marie Genese, her siblings and with their spouses: Gerda Fanfan and Sergo Myrthil, Jean Kenny and Carline Fanfan, Johane Fanfan and Andrew Mbugua Waweru, Gerald and Joanne Fanfan, Suzie and Nickolas DeJarnette and numerous nieces and nephews and along with a loving host of extended relatives, friends, and colleagues.
